New Milford Lions Pancake Breakfast

Sunday morning was the fundraiser for the NM Lions Club

New Milford High School cafeteria played host to the annual New Milford Lions Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.

According to the Lions,  attendance was down due to the flooding around town and much of the conversation around the tables was dedicated to the flooding.

"Eight Lions Club members worked in addition to some friends and family helped out," said Michael Putrino of the New Milford Lions."

"We did get a handful of high school volunteers serving drinks, taking orders and we estimated close to 200 people in attendance including adults and children."

Putrino said they cooked nearly 700 pancakes.

"A few years ago we started a tradition of offering Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes in addition to regular pancakes," said Putrino. "This year we added chocolate chip pancakes as an option--kids love the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes."
