Walkathon Raises Money for St Jude's Hospital
Fundraiser was held at Bergen Town Center.
More than 80 communities participated in a walkathon for St Jude's Hospital on Saturday. The Bergen Town Center was the site for the walkathon in the northern New Jersey area.
More than 300 people attended the walkathon, which raised $60,000 to fight childhood cancer. St Jude's Hospital provides free serivices to its patients and is dependent on fundraisers.
Ben Chapman, from Ridgewood, was selected to cut the ribbon to start the walk. Chapman was diagnosed with brain cancer at 3 years old and was a patient at St Jude's. He is now cancer free.
