Japanese Brand Chooses Paramus To Launch First Mall Store In U.S.
After the launch of their unique pop-up store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall Aug. 27, Japanese retailer UNIQLO will hold its Paramus grand opening Sep. 28.
With busy parents searching for the best back-to-school values, and a one-stop-shop for them and their children, the timing of UNIQLO's newest store could not be better.
On Aug 27, the Japanese fashion retailer will launch its first mall store in the U.S. at the Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall. According to a press release from UNIQLO, the Paramus mall location will serve as the prototype for UNIQLO’s many future shopping mall locations in the U.S.
“We are thrilled to bring UNIQLO’s exceptional shopping experience to one of New Jersey’s premiere shopping destinations as we continue our U.S. expansion," said UNIQLO USA CEO Shin Odake.

"We are confident visitors from the Tri-State Area and around the country will respond well to UNIQLO’s unique combination of both well-made and reasonably-priced, 'made for all' products and our dedication to world-class customer service,” Odake added.
The company store to the Planning Board in June.

The new store will occupy a 43,000 sq. ft. space with two stories, a separate dedicated store entrance and a prominent façade.
Leading up to the opening, beginning Aug. 27 through Sept. 27, UNIQLO will host a pop-up store experience for consumers inside the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall called the UNIQLO POP-UP CUBE.
The UNIQLO POP-UP CUBE will be located at the food court, and will give shoppers a chance to purchase UNIQLO’s iconic product - Premium Ultra Light Down Jackets.
Shoppers can also enter for a chance to win a total of 100 lucky gifts, which can only be redeemed at the UNIQLO Garden State Plaza store once it opens.
UNIQLO will hold its official Paramus grand opening Sep. 28.

This will be the company’s fourth U.S. retail location with their fifth U.S. store scheduled to open this fall in San Francisco. There are currently three UNIQLO stores in New York City.
The Paramus store will showcase the complete offering of UNIQLO products including men’s and women’s basics, Heattech, Premium Ultra light Down, an endless array of colorful cashmere, as well as the new kids collection.
