Freedom Boat Club Comes To Point Pleasant Boro
Freedom Boat Club has announced the opening of a new members-only boat-sharing franchise at Crystal Point Marina.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ – Freedom Boat Club has announced the opening of a new members-only boat-sharing franchise at Crystal Point Marina.
Franchise owners Matt Carrick and Matt O’Connor, owners and operators of 11 other Freedom Boat Clubs in Massachusetts, are bringing their premier fleet of pleasure crafts to the Jersey Shore with plans to open by the end of April.
“New Jersey is densely populated with a great coastline. It’s a great boating state that has been underserved by the type of membership we offer. Our members get all the benefits of ownership with access to the best recreational boats without having to worry about the hassles and high costs of owning a boat,” said Freedom Boat Club co-owner Matt Carrick.

Another benefit Freedom Boat Club members enjoy is the ability to use, not just the boats at their home club, but access to boats at any one of the other 180 Freedom Boat Clubs across the U.S. and Canada.
The vessels that will be docked at Crystal Point Marina include: new Key West FS Center Consoles, deck and pontoon boats. Carrick said that as membership grows, they will add more vessels to their fleet.

“These boats are safe, fuel efficient and offer real comfort and class. Our members really love them, especially the Key West Center Console,” Carrick said.
The Key West Center Console is loaded with creature comforts such as a generous-sized changing room under the console which can also provide extra storage space. The boat is popular among anglers, and at 24 feet in length, members looking to cast their rods for a big catch can easily venture out into the open water.
For the ultimate in family fun, the pontoon boats are alluring because they offer spacious seating and can hold up to 12 people. With its 150 horse power Yamaha engine, it has been plenty of juice to pull water skiers and tubers. The pontoon is also equipped with GPS, tow bar and table.
In addition to bringing its fleet of vessels to the northern part of Jersey Shore, Freedom Boat Club is also bringing jobs to the area as the company will be hiring a dock manager, dock masters and training captains.
“We are growing rapidly as more and more recreational boaters realize it’s much more convenient and affordable to become a member with access to multiple types of vessels without having to deal with all the headaches associated with owning your own boat,” Carrick said.
Brian Cosgrove, General Manager for Safe Harbor, the company that manages Crystal Point Marina, said Freedom Boat Club will be a welcome addition to all that the marina offers.
“We are excited to welcome Freedom Boat Club and are looking forward to a long relationship,” Cosgrove said.
