New Jersey School Closings/Dismissals List For 6/18/18

The extreme heat that may push temperatures past the 100-degree mark on Monday has compelled a number of New Jersey school districts to change their schedules.
A heat advisory has been declared for much of the state (see forecast below).

Here is the list of school districts that have either closed or called for early dismissal. Click on the links to get more information:

- Belleville Public Schools, Belleville Closing Early
- Bloomfield Twp, Bloomfield Early Closing
- Camden City School District: Schools will close at 1 pm
- Edison Closing Early
- Glen Rock Closing Early
- Hackensack Public, Hackensack Early release at 12:30 PM
- Harrison School District, Harrison Early release at 1:11 PM
- Keyport Public Schools, Keyport Early release at 12:30 PM
- Newark Closed
- Oakland Boro, Oakland Using early release schedule
- Ramapo Indian Hills Closing Early
- Wayne Closing Early
Here is the forecast:
- Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 95. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
- Monday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Tuesday: A slight chance of showers before 11am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88. North wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
