Creative Marketing Alliance Celebrates Employee's Silver Anniversary
Diane Webster-Sweeney Marks 25 Years with Company

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. – November 3, 2015 – Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), a full-service public relations and marketing firm based in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, recognized Diane Webster-Sweeney for her 25 years of service to the company.
Webster-Sweeney is responsible for the management of clients on both a national and international scale. Along with the management of day-to-day operations, she applies successful development and recruitment strategies, meeting-planning expertise and other best business practices to the leadership of her clients.
“A highlight of my time was having the ability to change my career path from an art director to a meeting planner and client manager,” Webster-Sweeney said. “Having gotten involved more with the clients and traveling onsite to the meetings, I had an interest in that side of the business. I was trained and mentored by Lynn McCullough during the past five years and was successful in turning around a client that was struggling to help them grow their membership and is now thriving.”

Working closely with Boards of Directors, Webster-Sweeney brainstorms and implements various programs to help maintain membership, conference attendance and association revenue. Through the management of sales programs for exhibits, advertisements and sponsorships, as well as oversight of association publications, websites and literature, Webster-Sweeney has become a vital asset to CMA.
“For 25 years Diane has been a loyal and dedicated worker,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, president and CEO of CMA. “Her many talents and diversified experience has proven invaluable to CMA during her tenure. She is always offering to pitch in and take on new assignments with enthusiasm.”

“The International Card Manufacturer’s Association (ICMA) is a favorite project as a whole,” said Webster-Sweeney. “When I started at CMA 25 years ago, ICMA was started a few months later. So I started on their four-page, two-color newsletter, which is now a 32-page full color magazine. The organization itself has grown from about seven original companies to over 230 worldwide, so it’s been amazing to see this group grow and be a part of that from the beginning.”
Before Webster-Sweeney got involved with client management, she worked in the studio with another long-time employee, Dave Sherwood, creative director, traditional design.
“My biggest highlight was working in the studio with Dave for 20 years. We learned from each other and supported each other along the way,” she said. “I never wanted to be in an agency where art directors were competitive, I wanted to be in a collaborative environment, which is what we have here at CMA.”
Webster-Sweeney teaches advertising design and typography classes at Mercer County Community College and has sat on the college’s Curriculum Advisory Board for more than 12 years. A Ewing resident, she also volunteers on the Race for the Cure committee at Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey.
