$10K Reward, New Video Released In Hit-And-Run Of Fanwood Woman

Meghan Crilly, 35, of Fanwood​, a 2nd grade Mountainside teacher, remains in a coma and critical condition following the Linden hit and run.

LINDEN, NJ — A $10,000 reward is being offered and police have released an updated video of the vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a Fanwood pedestrian in critical condition on Jan. 20 in Linden.

The wanted vehicle is seen as the third vehicle entering the screen from the left at about 8 seconds into the surveillance video released by Linden Police on Tuesday.

The vehicle is believed to be a red 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly with tinted windows and a sun roof. The vehicle may have front end damage, particularly to the lower grill area, Linden Police report.

Crimestoppers is also offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible.

The pedestrian Meghan Crilly, 35, of Fanwood, who is a second grade Mountainside teacher, was hit while crossing N. Wood Avenue in the area of St. George Avenue in Linden just before 2 a.m. on Jan. 20, Linden Police said.

Crilly remains in critical condition at Newark University Hospital where she has already undergone multiple surgeries, and currently is in a coma, according Dakota Osmun who set up the GoFundMe site.

The site was set up on Wednesday, Jan. 23 and has already raised close to $49,000 of the $35,000 goal. Funds received will be used to alleviate the financial strain brought on by Crilly's treatments.
