South Brunswick Increases School Security Following Clown Threat
The superintendent spoke out against what he called "threatening clown syndrome"

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ-- South Brunswick has increased security at all schools following a threatening social media post including clowns, the superintendent said in a district-wide email.
A picture of South Brunswick High School was posted to an unspecified social media site along with the caption "...Wait for Wednesday." Wednesday was the first day back for students following the long Rosh Hashanah weekend.
In direct response, police increased presence in and around schools, Superintendent Gary McCartney told parents in an email. The district became aware of the post late last night.

South Brunswick is not the first New Jersey school district to be disrupted by clowns. West Orange, East Hanover, and Roselle Park have all seen clown-related disruptions or scares to their schools.
