• Seton Hall Welcomes New Class Of Students To South Orange Campus (patch.com) — Seton Hall University's South Orange campus is preparing to welcome about 1,560 first-year students in the Class of 2030, drawn from 42 states and 17 countries. The university reports a more selective admissions rate, strong test scores and GPAs, and a notably diverse, first-generation and Pell-eligible student population that will shape campus life in South Orange.
   

• After Nearly 36 years, Nancy Chiller Janow Closes Chapter at South Orange Public Library (villagegreennj.com) — A beloved fixture at the South Orange Public Library, Nancy Chiller Janow has retired after more than 35 years of helping local residents discover new books and feel at home. Community members, trustees, and Village Council representatives gathered to honor her impact on generations of South Orange children and adults, while Janow says she'll remain in town, still joining the library's book discussion group as a patron.
   

• Seton Hall basketball adds Israeli big as roster nearly finalized (northjersey.com) — Seton Hall's men's basketball team in South Orange has added 6-foot-9 Israeli forward Ilay Dolinski, who is already on campus and working out with the Pirates. The 22-year-old brings experience from Israel's national team and pro league as coach Shaheen Holloway leans more heavily into international recruiting to finalize the 2026-27 roster.
