Powerball Ticket Worth $10K Sold In Union County

A Powerball ticket worth $10,000 was sold at a convenience store in Springfield. A second $10,000 winning ticket was sold in Hudson County.

One individual who purchased a Powerball ticket in Union County was among the third place winners in the most recent Powerball drawing.

One of two third-place prize tickets was sold at a convenience store in Springfield. The third-place tickets sold matched four white balls and the Powerball for the Saturday, May 16 drawing, according to lottery officials.

The $10,000 winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Welsh Farms Speedy Mart, 160 Mountain Ave., in Springfield.
  • Amin Stationery, 5511 Bergenline Ave., West New York in Hudson County.

Had the two tickets been purchased with Powerplay, lottery officials said the windfalls could have been worth $20,000 each.

Additionally, there were 17,288 players in New Jersey who collected an estimated $89,813 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” Hedinger said in a release. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”

The winning numbers for the Saturday, May 16 drawing were: 24, 29, 38, 48 and 52. The Red Power Ball number was 32. The Multiplier number was 02.

Since no one won the Powerball jackpot, the jackpot will increase to $121 million for the next drawing on Wednesday, May 20.
