Threat Prompts Shelter-In-Place At Summit High School

The shelter-in-place has since been lifted on Monday following an investigation.

SUMMIT, NJ — A threat prompted a shelter-in-place at Summit High School on Monday afternoon.

The school at 125 Kent Pl Blvd. was put into a shelter-in-place just before 1 p.m. on Monday.

At 1:37 p.m., Summit Police said they "verified that the threat at Summit High School was not credible and the shelter in place has been lifted. All students/staff are safe."
