TEANECK, NJ — Authorities found about 2 pounds of heroin in a hidden compartment in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 Thursday, officials said.
Luis A. Suarez-Martinez, 32, of New York City was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, said Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office stopped Suarez-Martinez in Teaneck. They found two aftermarket, electronic hidden compartments, also called "traps" in the vehicle's floor, Musella said. One of the traps had about 2 pounds of suspected heroin inside, he said.
