Man Charged In Gas Station Armed Robbery In Lavallette: Police
Breaking: The man, from Bergen County, is accused of the June 13 robbery at Kelly's Sea Bay Sunoco, police said.

LAVALLETTE, NJ — A North Jersey resident has been charged in an armed robbery at a borough gas station that happened in June, Lavallette police said Sunday.
Evan J. Carlock, 26, of Fairview, was arrested after a five-month investigation into the June 13 robbery of Kelly’s Sea Bay Sunoco gas station, Lavallette Sgt. Justin Lamb said in a news release.
Carlock is accused of approaching the gas attendant of Kelly’s Sea Bay Sunoco, showing a gun and demanding cash, Lamb said. The suspect, now identified as Carlock, then ran away west toward Jersey City Avenue, Lamb said. K9 officers from the Ocean County Sheriff's Department tried to track the man were but were unsuccessful in finding him, he said. Authorities released a sketch of the suspect at the time.

Lamb said the investigation had continued since June, and Carlock was identified with the help of Brick Township and Fairview police and on Sunday Patrolman Adam Lacicero, Patrolman Richard Gabriel, and Patrolman Ryan Crisalli arrested Carlock.
He has been charged with first-degree armed robbery and third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, Lamb said. Carlock was being held at the Ocean County Jail as of Sunday evening, according to online records.
