Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Toms River Crash: Police
Breaking: The motorcyclist was airlifted from the accident, police said; 2 motorcyclists have died locally in crashes since Thursday night.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — One person was seriously injured Sunday evening in a collision between a motorcycle and a minivan in Toms River, the second serious motorcycle crash in the township in three days, police said.
The accident happened about 5:30 p.m., when the minivan, which was westbound on Indian Head Road, turned left onto Oak Ridge Parkway in front of a motorcycle that was eastbound on Indian Head Road, said Ralph Stocco, spokesman for the Toms River Police Department.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center, Stocco said. Traffic was backed up with several detours around the scene, Stocco said. Further information was not immediately available.

It is the second serious motorcycle crash in Toms River in three days and the third this weekend in Monmouth and Ocean counties. A 26-year-old Toms River man died early Friday morning from injuries in a crash late Thursday night, and a 19-year-old Manalapan man was killed Friday night in a Howell crash, police said.
