Expect fire and police demonstrations, a motorcycle poker run, 5K, rides, vendors, food, raffles, and live music from The Phil Engel Band.

Toms River Council Backs Parkway Sound Wall as Widening Project Looms (shorebeat.com) — Toms River officials have endorsed building a sound wall along the northbound Garden State Parkway between interchanges 82A and 83, a move residents say they've awaited for decades. The wall, fully funded through a larger Parkway widening and bridge project stretching through Toms River, aims to cut noise and improve backyard security without costing nearby homeowners or the township.
   

4. Toms River's Iconic Halloween Parade Returns: Expect Record Crowds and Festivities on Oct. 31 (wrat.com) — Downtown Toms River will be packed on Saturday, Oct. 31, when the 87th Annual Halloween Parade steps off at 7 p.m. along Main and Washington streets.
