NhN 6 years and counting - We have helped over 660 people land jobs, and thousands with weekly support group meetings and online resources.

This was the first article i wrote on Patch back when I opened our our first NhN meeting in River Edge Library. 6 1/2 years later we have helped over 660 people land jobs, and thousands with weekly support group meetings. Here is where we have meetings now:

Neighbors-helping-Neighbors USA, Inc. is a cost-free, grassroots, nationally and internationally recognized job search support and networking organization.
Founded in River Edge, NJ on January 27 2011, by John R. Fugazzie Neighbors-helping-Neighbors has fostered a “ pay it forward ” culture, holding a weekly meeting program that delivers accountability and a strong volunteer organizational culture.

NhN is supported by an award winning web site, LinkedIn group and a facebook group.The group's culture is based on a pay it forward model with a focus on networking and support. Meetings are designed to help anyone in career advancement and career transition including:

  • unemployed
  • underemployed
  • recent college graduates
  • veterans
  • persons re- entering the job market
  • preparing for job change
  • small business owners
  • volunteer work

The meetings offer advice in job search strategies, techniques and tools, support, motivation, leadership and networking opportunities. Developing the skills of conducting a job search campaign intoday's new job market.NhN meetings are led by community volunteers who have been trained and are practicing and developing their leadership skills while delivering the very successful NhN agenda led meeting model.

A support group for people who are actively looking for work and/or want to invigorate their job search. This includes those in career transition, recent grads, laid off workers, unemployed or underemployed professionals, persons re-entering the job market and retireds looking for paid or volunteer work. Group members will assist each other in techniques and suggestions to improve job search, offer support, and help with personal and professional networking to find a position. Resources are avialable at the library to assist with computer searches and useful career sites.

Meetings are open to all residents in Bergen County.
