A Macaroni Kid Review: Happy Family Organic Superfoods
For on-the-go Moms, it is sometimes a struggle to make homemade, nutritious food for their growing babies. Happy Family organic superfoods are a good option. Here's a Macaroni Mom's review.
We have been a big fan of Happy Family organic superfoods ever since my daughter was old enough to eat solids. We started her with Happy Bellies organic brown rice cereal and Happy Baby pouches, made with 100% organic single ingredients like pear, sweet potato, and mango. We tried other organic food pouches, but she seemed to like Happy Baby pouches the best, especially the mango and peach ones.
When my daughter was 6 months old, we moved on to the Happy Tot pouches, which she and my three-year-old devour. Their hands-down favorite is Spinach, Mango and Pear because it tastes great. I love it because there are no artificial colors, flavors or genetically modified products, and the fruit and veggie mix makes for a super-healthy combo of fiber, protein, calcium and iron. We love them so much that Happy Tot pouches continue to be a staple in our household: my kids enjoy them as supplements to their meals or as an on-the-go snack (kind of like a portable fruit and veggie smoothie).
We also tried Happy Puffs and Happy Yogis to encourage our little one to self-feed. While I prepared her meals, she would happily gobble up handfuls of puffs like they were candy. The puffs quickly melt in the mouth so babies can easily swallow them. I loved that the puffs are fortified with choline (for brain and eye development), and they are sweetened with 100% fruit and vegetable juiice (no high fructose corn syrup).
Happy Yogis are our go-to snack when we're out and about. Made of freeze-dried organic fruit and yogurt, Happy Yogis are a low-sugar, yet yummy treat with an added bonus of protein and pre and probiotics for digestive health. Sometimes I have to catch myself from eating the whole bag!
Feeding my babies a variety of fruits, vegetables, protein and whole grains every day is one of the most important - and challenging - things I do as a mother. With their little bodies growing so fast, I want to make sure every bite counts. I love Happy Family for its shared commitment to all things healthy and yummy for my kids - it makes my job a little easier!
