Coming to Town - Tech Specific Post

Greetings, again.  We are one week from visiting Westwood as a family (July 1) and one week and a day from moving into our new hometown (July 2).

If you are not into the "tech scene" in Bergen County, then you can stop with that last sentence.  If you are curious, then by all means keep reading.

During my several visits to Westwood over the past few months, I tested my smartphone (Galaxy Nexus from Verizon Wireless) in various parts of the borough.  I found VZW's 4g service non-existent and its 3g service spotty at best.  Verizon's coverage map simply states that Westwood has 4g but it was "hiding" from me, I guess.

If you are really into Android and Verizon, then read on.  I experimented with 3g and 4g using both the Android 4.0.2 AND 4.0.4 updates.  Presumably, the radio communication with the more recent update is supposed to be much-improved.  However, I only noticed a negligible difference with 3g throughout Westwood with zero results for 4g.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?  I'd be happy to hear/read your responses.
