Kindergarten 'Pinkies' Raise Money for a Great Cause

The kindergarten team, head-coached by Rebecca Kenny, raised $170 recently to benefit Project Ladybug, a new initiative at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital which provides an important resource to seriously ill pediatric patients and their families as they face lengthy treatment regimens. Seventeen people (including players, moms and siblings) paid $10 each to receive red hair extensions via the Best Little Hairhouse in Westwood salon on Westwood Avenue. The Westwood players sporting new red locks include Madeline A., Sammi D., Danielle D., Sophia D., Victoria E., Morgan F., Zoe H., Alexa K., Melanie R., Grace T., Jenna V. and Sydney W. and Coach Kenny, too! If you see the girls and their Cardinal-red hair around town, give them a high five and thank them for their involvement - and maybe step into the salon yourself to make a donation. The Hairhouse has raised $580 thus far and their fund-raising efforts will continue.
