Timology - March is National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month (NNM). Celebrating NNM is meant to make us aware of food quality, not quantity.

March is National Nutrition Month (NNM). I'm sure most of us didn't get the memo. I happened to stumble onto NNM myself while looking for ways to control my appetite. Before you ask if I actually did find any ideas for controlling my appetite, the answer is yes. It's called will power. That wasn't exactly the answer I was looking for, but it is what it is.

NNM is a great time and great way to get in-tune with your health. March is the beginning of spring which makes you think of growth and rejuvenation. March is also a time for our winter coats to come off and for everyone to see the growth that's noticeable on our butts! Celebrating NNM is meant to make us aware of food quality, not quantity. Nutritious food has more value because of its vitamins and minerals, and nutrients that provide energy. For those of us who are interested in weight loss, nutritious food is usually lower in calories and can also reduce hunger. Personally, I think we should celebrate National Nutrition Year!
