Timology - Spring Cleaning

When you say "May", you think spring and envision the change from old to new or from stale to fresh.

When you say "May", you think spring and envision the change from old to new or from stale to fresh.  As crazy as this may sound, I think of spring cleaning. No, not your house... your mind.

In the winter months, the lack of sun keeps us indoors and makes us less active, and these two factors lead to boredom. What do we do when we get bored? We eat and drink! So spring is a time to renew our minds by doing some mental spring cleaning. We need to create new health or fitness goals that will make an impact on our future.  It's time to leave winter behind and focus on a better you.

Once you renew your mind, your body will follow. Here are few steps to start your spring cleaning:

1. Look in the mirror and visualize what you want to look or feel like in July.

2. Get rid of all the winter comfort foods that you have stashed away and have hindered your progress.

3. Add one outdoor activity per week for yourself. It can be as little as a half hour. Leave your earphones at home.

4. Plan new meals each day. Replace processed food with natural choices and stick to the plan.

The only way to be different is to think different.
