Westwood-Hillsdale Patch announced the upcoming meeting of the Westwood Historical Society. The main item on the agenda is the consideration of a new designation of the downtown section of Westwood Avenue as a historical area. Some comments have been "for" and "against" such a decision. Hey, we still live in a democracy, right?
I'd love to be at that meeting, but I won't be able to make it. Again, having been here for just a month, I have come to really enjoy that part of downtown. And it would be nice to hear both sides of the issue (or a third, if it comes up). I just hope that all the possibilities are explored and not just some sort of "command decision" is made. Is there a rush? I'm not sure, but I don't think so. But, then again, I don't know for sure. Sorry for the vagueness. Perhaps you can add to the discussion.
