West Would - First Responders
A general blog post about stuff in Westwood and beyond from a resident coming up on his first anniversary in-town.
Before coming to Westwood in 2012, I served as a pastor of a church in Roselle Park in Union County. Well, the news hit early Wednesday morning about a potentially dangerous situation in my former town. Rather than recount it here, I offer to you a link so you can get up-to-date.

This guy allegedly was carrying a loaded gun with hollow-point bullets. In his home, police discovered (allegedly) some pretty nasty stuff.

In addition to being towns off the GS Parkway, Westwood and Roselle Park share similar demographics (in many areas) as well as relatively equally-balanced police forces. While Roselle Park is more blue-than-white collar and Westwood is more white-than-blue collar we all must be alert that this kind of stuff can happen ANYWHERE.
The purpose of this post? Many thanks to all our first-responders. Whether or not I am living in Bergen County or Union County, I breathe a sigh of relief today.

Now, it's time for all of us to inhale and be prepared for whatever comes next.
Peace (no, really)
