West Would - Local Business

The rambling rants of a new resident of Westwood

Last Thursday, I read on Patch about the first anniversary of the local Westwood business, Blooming Hearts Treasure Shop (on Center Street across from the movie theater/theatre).  There were a lot of neat activities set for that Saturday (07/28) that I thought my wife and daughter would enjoy.

On Friday, while our daughter was enjoying Summer Playground @ Berkeley School (sponsored by the Westwood Recreation Department), my wife and I walked the one block to Blooming Hearts, went in, looked around, and picked up a flier for the anniversary festivities.

On Saturday, my wife and daughter had a wonderful time, especially with the face-painting for our daughter.  It is her photo that was placed on the "cover" of a recent Patch daily e-mail.  Of course, I will dote a little more and attach that same photo here.

In the one-month we've been living in downtown Westwood, we have appreciated the kindness and community spirit of the numerous business owners/stores we have visited.  We look forward to getting more involved.

I guess West Would is more like West Did.  As you can tell, I am NOT a stand-up comic.  But I do laugh at my OWN jokes.
