On my second-week "anniversary" of moving into town, I attended my very first Council meeting in Westwood. And you know what? I learned something. The changes to Madison Avenue/Third Street/Park Avenue, etc. received Council approval at that meeting. The weird thing is that, after only two weeks, I actually KNOW those intersections and roads that were being talked about. In fact, right after the meeting on my walk home, I almost literally stood at several of the areas to be altered.
Yeah, I know this sounds like a pretty unusual and likely irrelevant blog post (to you). But (to me) it feels pretty great to feel such a connection to my new hometown after such a short stay.
I just hope I can keep up the "momentum."
