Westwood Softball Coaches to Play Second Annual Charity Game
Westwood Softball Association announces the second annual coaches' charity game

The coaches of the Westwood Softball Association will play a second annual charity softball game on Saturday, June 11 to benefit the Sunday Stankowitz Memorial Scholarship Fund. The game will be held at 7 p.m. on the beautiful new field at Westvale Park on Harrington Avenue (near Sand Road). Last year's game raised $800 for the scholarship fund, which is administered by the Westwood Board of Education and is awarded to Westwood High School seniors who will be pursuing careers in education and have lived in Westwood at least 10 years. Once again, those playing in the game will be coached and managed by their own players, the girls who play Westwood Softball. All coaches pay an entry fee to play, and further proceeds come from 50/50 raffles, refreshment sales and additional donations. The goal this year is to exceed $1,000, which will be presented to the Westwood Regional Board of Education at an upcoming board meeting. Westwood Softball welcomes everyone to this fun event. Admission is free.
