Cresskill Alzheimer's Awareness Week

 


The town of Cresskill unites for a
first time event hosting Alzheimer’s Awareness Week! Currently, more than
5.1 million Americans and 150, 000 New Jersey residents are living with the
disease. Family members deliver 80% of care provided at home.

Trainings, educational seminars and
events to help raise awareness will occur at various locations throughout
the town of Cresskill. This is an opportunity to:

learn about Alzheimer’s disease,

support  individuals challenged with dementia and
their family 

     caregivers

All events are FREE and open to the public!


 Week Highlights include:

Memory Screening, "Successful Agers", Dementia and Driving, "What are the Warning Signs and How to Manage Dementia", tips to help families have the conversation about dementia, open forum to ask a neurologist questions about dementia, fall prevention

Throughout the week informational brochures on resources and services will be available at the Cresskill Library.
