Bucky Pizzarelli and Lou Pallo with Les Paul’s Trio are the highlighted performers at a Gala honoring the life and birthday of musician and inventor Les Paul.  The Gala, to be hosted by the Mahwah Museum, will celebrate what would have been the 98th birthday of Les Paul on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.  The Gala will be held at the Trustees Pavilion of Ramapo College.  Tickets to the gala are $30 per person of which $10 is tax deductible as a contribution to the Museum.

Pizzarelli, Pallo and the members of the Trio were long time friends of Les Paul and performed with him for many years.  Guests at the Gala will enjoy wine, hors d'ouevres, light fare and a birthday cake.  Many autographed collectibles donated to the Museum by a prominent Les Paul autograph collector will be offered in a silent auction.  There will be a live auction of autographed guitars and other music memorabilia.

At 9:30 p.m. the Museum will pick the winning ticket in its raffle of two guitars.  First prize is a White Epiphone Guitar, Les Paul Standard Royal, body autographed by Bucky Pizzarelli, Lou Pallo and others – pick guard autographed by Les Paul, circa 2007; second prize is an Epiphone Mahogany Guitar, Les Paul Studio, autographed by Lou Pallo, Peter Frampton, Al Caiola and Peter Townshend;  Third Prize is a Les Paul and Mary Ford 45 rpm record and Gibson Ad, autographed by Les Paul.  Tickets are $25.
