The Importance of Being Earnest Concludes Run This Weekend!

Oscar Wilde’s acclaimed comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest, continues this week in Fair Lawn! Presented by The Radburn Players and directed by Alex Oleksij, this classic play will be staged on November 16, 17 at the Radburn Association Grange Hall, 29-20 Fair Lawn Avenue in Fair Lawn.  The show begins at 8 pm each evening. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults ($10 for members) and $12 for students and seniors. All seats are general admission.

Considered the highpoint of Oscar Wilde’s renowned career, The Importance of Being Earnest is a glorious comedy of mistaken identity which ridicules codes of propriety and etiquette in late-Victorian London. Dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities, not to mention the disapproval of Gwendolen's mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell. The talented cast includes Fred Bernardi, Rick Hathaway, Christine Laydon, Patrick Little, Kevin Maphis, Ian Murphy, Sara Parcesepe, Melissa Surow and Debbie Zika.

Ticket holders Saturday evening’s closing show are invited to attend a free “Meet the Cast” reception with food ad beverages immediately following the performance.
