xperienced yoga teacher Meena Modi will host a two hour class on "Yoga for Anxiety and Fear;" all proceeds will benefit BVMI. The class will begin with a short introduction on how different cultures have different views of fear and anxiety. Meena will then guide attendees through physical movements and breathing techniques that help release anxiety and end with a guided meditation. The class will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013, 5:30 to 7:30pm, at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ.
"This class is the culmination of three months of research and preparation and puts theory into practice," explained Meena Modi. " Students will leave with a greater understanding on how to manage day-to-day anxiety and stress.

Meena Modi, a Ridgewood, New Jersey resident, is the founder of www.mahasriyoga.com. She has over 30 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation, and practicing yoga therapy. Mahasri Yoga is a global resource with followers from more than 100 countries. The mission is to provide tools and support to individuals while helping to serve communities.

The fee for the two-hour class is $25 and 100% of the proceeds will benefit Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI).
