Field and Landscape Maintenance Contract for Westvale Park on Council Agenda

Mayor John Birkner Jr. is expected to review the bids for the field and landscape maintenance at with members of the council during the work session meeting Tuesday night. After the review, members of the council are expected to vote on a resolution to award a contract for the maintenance work.

Also on the meeting agenda, Borough Engineer Stephen Boswell will provide an update about how NJ Transit buses may use Madison Avenue. At the previous meeting, he said the transportation company may use a portion of Madison Avenue for their buses to remove them from Broadway.

The council is expected to introduce an ordinance to provide for the monitoring of landfill emission. Members are also scheduled to vote to approve an ordinance to acquire equipment for the borough fire department.
