Get Decorating Tips at 'An Evening of Design'

Residents can get home decorating tips and also help animals in need during "An Evening of Design" at of Westwood Thursday night.

During the event, guest speakers Scott Harrington with Robert Allen Fabrics and Diana Rattazzi, architectural representative with Benjamin Moore Paints, will assist residents who want to choose fabrics and paints to fit their homes.

"Thanks to today's home magazines and cable decorating shows more and more people realize how important good design is to creating a home that reflects your personality," said Wendy Girard, owner of Girard Interiors. "But with magazines and cable shows you can't ask the experts specific questions about your design needs. Our program lets you do just that."

In addition to learning how to improve the look of their homes, attendees can also support F.O.C.A.S., Bergen County's volunteer animal welfare organization. TRELUXE Gifts and Glamour for the Home, run by three Bergen County moms, will display its spring line for purchase. The company will donate 10 percent of the sales Thursday to F.O.C.A.S.

"Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your home décor," Girard said. "So we're bringing together representatives from Robert Allen Fabrics, Benjamin Moore Paints and TRELUXE Gifts and Glamour to share the latest in fabrics, color and home accessories."
