I have read about the travails and trials of both AOL and Patch over the past several months. I've also noticed three things about Westwood-Hillsdale Patch blog posts.
1) I don't see any Westwood-Hillsdale-Washington Twp bloggers much anymore. There appear to be many cross-posters but little on the local side.
2) Many of the blogs listed on the site have not been updated in quite a while. Yes, there are a couple of exceptions. And, yes, I'm guilty of not posting for the past six weeks or so.
3) It appears to me that there is a "sales" type of angle to many blog posts on the site. While I have little problem with this, I kind of miss the hometown / personal offerings that used to be the hallmark of the blogosphere (or whatever it is called now).
In the header of my blog, I note "random ramblings." Well, this post falls quite well into this category.
Anybody out there?
