Paws-To-Read

2 Basset Hounds from Therapy Dogs International visited the Hillsdale Public Library Tuesday July 30th, 2013. They were in for a real treat: story time! Children had the opportunity to read to Megan and Maizie for 15 minutes per session. Therapy Dogs International is an organization which gives children the chance to read in front of a relaxed and captive audience, which boosts confidence and self-esteem. Children had the chance to learn about dogs, who, like themselves, come in all shapes and sizes.
It was hard to tell who had more fun; Megan & Maizie or the children!
