Power outages continue for some in the area

The reopened its headquarters early Monday morning after having to evacuate the building Sunday and power has been restored to the station and the . But some in the area remain without power in the wake of .
According to Washington Township police, they began receiving calls again between 4 and 5 a.m. Monday. The generator being used Sunday overheated and released carbon monoxide into the building, .
But not all residents have gotten power restored. A PSE&G spokeswoman told Patch that 42,000 Bergen County residents are still without power. The company will not provide town-specific information.

Chief Frank Regino called the outages "sporadic" Monday. He said some areas had power restored and then the electricity went off again. Officers were directing traffic at the intersection of Old Hook and Kinderkamack roads early Monday morning, but the traffic light was back on before 11 a.m.
Other traffic lights that were out Monday had stop signs up to let motorists know it was a four-way stop. Other traffic lights were blinking lights Monday morning.
