Public Hearing on Cell Tower Ordinance and More at Township Council Meeting

The meeting is scheduled to begin tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Members of the Washington Township council are expected to vote Monday on the final adoption of an ordinance authorizing a cell tower in the township at a height not to exceed 140 feet.

Also on the agenda, council members are expected to introduce an ordinance regarding crossing guard salaries.

Members of the council may also introduce an ordinance requiring residents to clear fire hydrants in front of their homes of snow and ice. They briefly talked about the issue at the budget meeting Friday and said they would discuss it Monday with Borough Attorney Kenneth Poller.

The council was supposed to hear a proposal from Mayor Sobkowicz about what to do with the township administrator position, but during the budget meeting Friday. Chin's contract as acting administrator was set to expire Monday.
