Sports Report: Wins For IHA Baskebtall, Losses For Westwood

Patch brings you a weekly review of what happened for and student athletes and provides a preview of upcoming match-ups.

Week in Review:

• The Westwood Boys Basketball Team defeated Cliffside Park Tuesday, Jan. 17, 61 - 33. They took a couple tough losses Thursday, Jan. 19 to Pascack Valley, 50 - 35, and Tuesday, Jan. 24 to Ramsey in a close game, 59 - 56.

• The Lady Cardinals Basketball Team saw three consecutive losses. Cliffside Park defeated Westwood Basketball Tuesday, Jan. 17, 42 - 32. Pascack Valley beat the cardinal women 63 - 27, Thursday, Jan. 19. And Ramsey defeated Westwood 36 - 35 in another close matchup Tuesday, Jan. 24.

• The Eagles Basketball team defeated Bergen County Technical Institute Thursday, Jan. 19, 46 - 17, then went on to beat Clifton 76 - 26 Tuesday, Jan. 24.

What’s Ahead:

• The Westwood Boys Basketball Team will play Dumont at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

• The Lady Cardinals Basketball Team will take on Dumont away on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

• The IHA Girls Baskebtall Team will play Passaic Co Technical Institute at home Tuesday at 4 p.m.

• The Cardinals will bowl against Indian Hills Wednesday at 4 p.m. They have a match against River Dell on Thursday at 4 p.m.

• Westwood Boys Basketball has a matchup away at Wallington on Thursday at 7 p.m.

• The Westwood Girls Basketball Team will play Palisades Park at home on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

• The Cardinal Boys Baskebtall Team will play Garfield at home at 1 p.m. Saturday.

• The Cardinal Boys will wrestle away at Pascack Valley Wednesday at 7 p.m.

• The Westwood Boys Ice Hockey Team will take on Fair Lawn at home Sunday at 7 p.m.
