Township Councilmen Restore $5,000 to Acting Administrator Salary

The amount is prorated from before the pay reduction

Members of the Washington Township council unanimously agreed to increase Acting Administrator Lilly Chin's pay to $64,000 Thursday night during a budget meeting. The council .

Council President Fred Goetz recommended the change because he wanted Chin to be paid at the $89,000 rate for the first two months of the year, before the council voted to cut her pay March 2.

Members of the council continue to examine the 2011 municipal budget line by line and have another budget meeting scheduled for Monday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the third floor conference room of the municipal complex, 350 Hudson Ave.

The council got an extension from the state for introduction, but must introduce the spending plan by the regularly scheduled April 11 meeting.
