Up and Down

The recent crash of the airplane in San Francisco got me thinking. I have been on the Boeing 777 several times. I also have flown into and out of Seoul, South Korea. In addition, my journeys have taken me from Tokyo to the SFO airport where the Asiana Airlines horror occurred.

But my memory bank also flashes back to a time when a 747 crashed just over the mountain where I was living. More than 200 people died and, yes, some did walk away. It was a while ago and far from the Westwood area. There’s no need to go into specifics, nor do I really want to.

It just makes me think that life is fleeting. We are here for roughly a moment when compared with this thing called “time.” I don’t know about you, but I’m trying to make the most of every opportunity.

Peace
