Vote on Police Ranks Expected at Township Council Meeting
The regular meeting is scheduled for Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Members of the Washington Township council are expected to vote whether or not to approve an ordinance changing the police table of organization Monday night. Last week during a special meeting, Police Chief Randy Ciocco, Capt. Glen Hooper and Lt. Richard Skinner went before the governing body to . The ordinance changing the structure was introduced on first reading March 21 and has since been tabled several times.
The introduction of the salary ordinance appears on the meeting agenda as well. That ordinance would set the wages for township employees for 2011.
Councilmen may also continue talks about the fire prevention ordinance. At the special meeting last week, Fire Director Tom Sears spoke to the governing body about how he crafted the ordinance. and wanted Township Attorney Kenneth Poller to review it before going forward.
