Westwood Auction Raises More Than $23,000

The borough sold old DPW and police equipment online.

An online of used vehicles and equipment from the and raised $23,621 for the borough.

The auctions started last week and closed Wednesday night. The price of several items jumped up drastically as bidding drew to a close. The most expensive item was a salt spreader that sold for $8,220 after 106 bids. The least expensive was a water-damaged copy machine which sold for $5.

According to borough officials, this was the first time they had used the website govdeals.com to auction items.
