Westwood Planning Board will Hear Child Day Care Application March 10

Borough planner is completing the application review

An application from Greentree Developers, LLC, which proposes a child day care facility on a vacant lot on Kinderkamack Road, was still being reviewed Thursday so members of the Westwood Planning Board did not discuss it at their meeting.

Borough Planner Ed Snieckus said the review of the application was nearly complete and that the issue will go before the board March 10 with a public hearing March 24.

According to the application, Greentree Developers would like to reduce the size of the vacant building on the site, construct a playground in the rear of the building and upgrade the facade. The developer also wants to include a parking lot with 40 spaces.

The address is 10 and 20 Kinderkamack Road, where a car dealership once stood. The lots are currently vacant and Greentree Developers wrote in the application that the parking lot would be easy to create because it is already a paved area.

The next Planning Board meeting, which is a work session, is scheduled for March 10 at 8 p.m. in the , 101 Washington Ave.
