Westwood Vietnam Veterans to be Honored

Officials are asking veterans to come to the Nov. 1 council meeting

The Westwood mayor and council are planning to pay tribute to the borough’s Vietnam War Veterans at the Nov. 1 council meeting. It was determined by the governing body that a portion of this meeting should be set aside to recognize and thank those who have served in the U.S. military, specifically during the Vietnam War.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of the , 101 Washington Ave., beginning at 8 p.m. The governing body invites all residents to turn out in support of the selfless men and women who have served this country and its citizens in the Armed Forces during both war and peace. Veterans who are able to attend are requested to contact Borough Clerk Karen Hughes at 201-664-7100 ext. 101 to reserve a seat.

Last year, officials recognized World War II and Korean War veterans.
