Farmington girls soccer shuts out Bloomfield, improves to 9-1 (tricityrecordnm.com) — Farmington High's girls soccer team dominated Bloomfield 5-0 at Hutchison Stadium, pushing the Scorpions to an impressive 9-1 record heading into district play. Local volleyball and soccer scorelines for Farmington, Piedra Vista, Bloomfield and other nearby schools round out a busy prep sports day for San Juan County fans.
   

2. Ribbon cutting marks Totah Subdivision's connection to city water and sewer services (tricityrecordnm.com) — Homes in Farmington's Totah Subdivision now have reliable city water and sewer service after a $9.8 million project connected 138 lots to Farmington's system. County, city, and state officials say the long-awaited upgrade will improve public health, protect the San Juan River, and boost property values for residents who pushed for change since 2015.
   

3. Taco Bell Foundation awards $442,000 to nine New Mexico nonprofits (abqjournal.com subscription) — Farmington residents helped two local Taco Bell locations become top national fundraisers, contributing to a $100,000 grant for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Juan County's teen programs. The award is part of $442,000 going to nine New Mexico nonprofits, all aimed at boosting education, career readiness, and youth empowerment opportunities for young people.
   

4. San Juan County first responders to conduct annual-scale drill (koat.com subscription) — San Juan County agencies are staging a full-scale emergency drill at McGee Park, with Farmington's San Juan Regional Medical Center and Exceptional Community Hospital receiving simulated patients to test their readiness. The exercise, running Wednesday morning, is designed to strengthen coordination among police, fire, EMS, dispatchers, and support groups without disrupting regular emergency services for residents.
