Astorino Lifts Outside Fire Ban in Westchester
The ban had been imposed earlier this month.

County Executive Rob Astorino Tuesday lifted the fire ban in Westchester.
“As a result of the rainfall we’ve experienced over the past few days, the fire ban is no longer necessary,” Astorino said in a statement. “While the rain has eliminated the immediate dryness, I urge residents to be cautious over the holiday weekend. I have instructed the Parks Department to continue to monitor conditions in the parks.”
Astorino had imposed the fire ban earlier this month.
