Troop K Adds 18 New Troopers

Major Richard L. Mazzone, the New York State Police Troop K commander, welcomed new troopers to the force. Eighteen new Troopers successfully completed field training and will be reporting for duty.

Troop K encompasses Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Columbia Counties, with 17 patrol barracks.

The new Troopers will be distributed throughout Troop K, and will continue the tradition of service, protection and defense of the people while preserving the rights and dignity of all, officials said.
