North Bellmore Schools Deal With Vandalism Incidents

The main entrance window was shattered at Newbridge Road School sometime between Aug. 20-21. Additionally, windows were smashed at the school on Aug. 3 or 4.

At last week's Bellmore Chamber meeting, First Precinct P.O.P. Officer Ed Knox said the police are aware of ongoing issues at this location.

"We always contact the police whenever there is vandalism," North Bellmore Superintendent Arnold Goldstein said. "We've been told that this is a problem throughout Nassau County. We are eager to support any police efforts to address this issue."

The estimated cost of the damage is $500.

Additionally, there were five windows reported broken at Dinkelmeyer School on either Aug. 2 or 3.
