Car Larcenies; Scary Dancer: Mount Kisco Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which Westchester County police responded.

Friday, March 8 – 4:03 p.m. – A woman reported to Westchester County Police that someone shoved her as she walked on North Bedford Road, causing her to lose her phone. She was unable to provide any description and said the incident had occurred two hours earlier.

12:20 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Sough Moger Avenue on a report that a man was yelling, walking backyards and behaving erratically. Officers located a man wearing headphones who was listening to music and he reported he had been singing and dancing along with it. The man reported that he was not in any distress and had not meant to cause any concern.

Thursday, March 7 – 3:40 p.m. – A motorist reported that her car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver while her vehicle was parked in a lot in the 200 block on North Bedford Road.

8:51 a.m. – A resident of Valley View Terrace reported that someone went through his car in the overnight hours and took about $5 in quarters. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

Wednesday, March 6 – 10:25 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to an office on Smith Avenue on an activated burglar alarm. The premises were found to be secure and the alarm was determined to be accidental.

1:20 p.m. – A resident of Parkview Place reported that someone entered his vehicle overnight when it was parked and unlocked in his driveway. Taken was a winter jacket valued at $200, $25 in cash and $10 in quarters.

11:49 a.m. -- Westchester County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to an auto dealership on Kisco Avenue on a reported odor of gas. The fire department determined that a malfunction in the HVAC had caused the problem.

Tuesday, March 5 – 3:50 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Woodland Street on a report of a domestic dispute. A woman at the residence told officers she had become frightened and called police but that the dispute was verbal in nature only.

Monday, Feb. 4 – 10:53 a.m. – A resident came to the Green Street precinct to report that a tenant in her building was leaving the front door unlocked, causing her concern. She was advised that this was not a police matter and that she would need to resolve the issue through the landlord.

10:33 a.m. – A resident reported that someone attempted to access her bank account online and withdraw $30,000. The transaction was denied and the woman was advised by her bank to report the incident to police. An investigation is continuing.
