Snowfall Totals Across Long Island
Friday morning brought a bit more snow than expected to the island.

An intense band of wind-blown snow smacked the region Friday morning, dropping up to 2 inches in some areas in just a couple of hours.
The heavier than expected snow, which created messy driving conditions during rush hour, has now moved on, with a dry and cold weekend on tap, but here’s a look at the unofficial National Weather Service snowfall totals reported across the island Friday:

- Sunday- Partly sunny, with a high near 32. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
- Sunday Night- A slight chance of rain after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Monday- A chance of rain and snow before 9am, then rain and sleet likely between 9am and noon, then rain likely after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 40. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Monday Night- A chance of rain before 9pm, then a chance of snow between 9pm and midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 21. Blustery. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
