Deer Park Man Who Raped Teen Also Impregnated Her: Report

DEER PARK, NY - A Deer Park man charged with raping a now 17-year-old allegedly also impregnated the teen, according to a report in News12.

Philip Evanson, 28, was arrested by First Squad detectives on Adams Street in Deer Park on Tuesday. He was charged with third degree rape, police said.

Last May, police announced they were looking for Evanson, who was wanted for having a sexual relationship with the teen, police said.

At his arraignment on Wednesday, Evanson pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to court documents. He is due back in court Friday.

Evanson reportedly had a sexual relationship with the teen for two months in 2017 when she was 15-years-old which resulted in her becoming pregnant and having an abortion.

The father of the teen told News12 that Evanson knew the teen because he was a close friend of her older brother.

The judge issued bail at $75,000 bond or$35,000 cash which according to court documents was not posted.
